This summer was all about Fortnite for my son, so we just knew that Fortnite was going to be his birthday theme. With COVID-19, making getting together with friends tricky, this summer my son mostly interacted with his friends by playing together online via Fortnite and Roblox and other basketball games.
For Shane’s birthday, we wanted to stay safe and only invite close family over and he was allowed an hour long Zoom with friends. Shane turned 7 years old, so we didn’t want to over-complicate his online fun, so we stuck to listening to Fortnite theme music and did dances together, we also played Charades, filled a pinata and opened some gifts. You can check out a video of his birthday fun here. Shane’s Fortnite Birthday

I opted to DIY my party able this year, as it was only going to be set up in my kitchen. I decorated on Wednesday night and left the décor up for the rest of the week which was a lot of fun. I got my of the décor from Amazon, check out the items below that made the table décor really pop. It was really easy to setup the stand for the backdrop. I hadn’t bought one before, but I really think it will come in handy for future events at home. I also feel that same way about the table cloth, this black cloth is great material that I can easily throw into the wash machine and can work for a table up to six feet, my table was only 4 feet.
