Today is bitter sweet. It’s a sad day, as we are saying good-bye to summer officially. It’s a great day because we officially bringing in fall tomorrow and with it comes lots of pumpkin spice, plaid tops and cool autumn style. The kids get a few trips to the pumpkin patch and a whole month to mull over a Halloween costume idea. I personally ordered my costume last week (of course).
But seriously for the last weekend in fall, DC had a host of fun festivals and outdoor activities, not to mention the Maryland Renaissance Festival that is still going on for the next few weeks. My family in particular just tried to spend time walking around outside and visiting our local library on Capital Hill. Here is a pic of us enjoying to the end of summer/fall weather.
I plan to spend the next few weeks of fall soaking in the outdoors and maybe snagging a few fall fashion pieces. As we speak, I am finishing off a pumpkin loaf from Peet’s Coffee, a great introduction to fall.
