If the past year has taught us anything, it’s that being flexible can make you a happier. Well, at least it’s taught me that. Last summer most summer camps were closed and many of us parents spent the summer entertaining our kids the best we could with backyard kiddy pools and masked playdates with close friends.
This year, with the pandemic still hanging over our plans I decided to take matters into my own hands. Instead of getting upset about not getting into this camp or that play group. I decided to make our own summer camp!
Well, we didn’t really make a camp, but we did make a list of activities we wanted to do and decided to plan excursions in our local area. Here’s a list of our summer camp activities:
Wednesdays at 5:15pm – Swimming Lessons at Blue Fish Swim
Thursdays at 3:00pm – Fun with Math
Thursdays at 9am – Spanish online
Fridays at 10am – Reading Enrichment
Saturdays – Explore a new park in the city
Sundays – Family Fun
These activities are generally geared towards my 7-year-old however, my 3 year is along for the ride too.
